The Rain

The rain rocks my soul
To a restful sleep
Never will it know
The pain that sits deep


It keeps me sane
It relaxes me
It washes away the pain
Into the sea


The rain soothes
It rocks me to sleep
It has no rules
Or promises to keep


It draws me in
And slows my anger
As the droplets fall on my skin
Keeping me safe away from danger
